Visitor Centres
We understand that visiting someone in prison can be challenging for both children and adults. The experience along with all the rules and regulations can be intimidating and confusing.
The staff in our Invisible Walls Visitor Centres aim to make the experience of visiting a prison as positive and supportive as possible. They are friendly and welcoming, taking time to explain what to expect, answer questions and help families feel more comfortable and prepared throughout the visit.
Our teams are also there to support you before and after your visit. We offer advice, guidance and information, and can connect you with a range of organisations for ongoing support. We also run Family Forums in partnership with prisons, giving families the chance to share feedback and help shape the service.
Family Focused Interventions
We deliver a wide range of family focussed interventions to individuals and groups.
Our interventions work directly with children and family members who have a loved one in prison as well as interventions solely for people in prison. If you would like more information about our interventions, please ask one of our team at your Visitor Centre.
